NET 30 Blog:

We're gearing up for our Light the Night Walk on October 22nd for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! This annual fundraising walk is to pay tribute and bring hope to people  battling cancer.

LLS funded advances are helping patients beyond those for whom they were originally developed, including people with solid tumors and auto-immune diseases. In the past decade, nearly 50% (19 out of 39) of the cancer drugs approved by the FDA were approved as treatment for patients with blood cancer. Twelve are already approved for people beyond those whom they were first developed. With your help, we are saving lives.

Please join our team effort today by making a small donation of $5, $10, $20, or even more. Every donation will help us reach our goal of $1,000. Your participation in the Light the Night Walk will help save lives.

Mindy Fast, Cancer SurvivorWe wanted you to meet a friend of ours that is a blood cancer survivor, Mindy Fast. Mindy (in the purple) is visiting our office next week to share her story with our team, the NET 30 Calculators. We hope to share that story with you in our October NET 30 News.

Be sure to check our team website frequently to see our progress and thank you for your support.

NET 30's Tip Corner : Susan Sez

What is it going to take to get you to make sure you have an emergency plan for your business? An earthquake? A hurricane? Oh, wait...we've had those!

If your business was interrupted by recent natural disasters, you know that you can lose money, time, and possibly customers if you don't have an emergency plan in place. Take time now to plan.

  • Check with your insurance company to find out your coverage limits. Did you know that many Virginia businesses do not have earthquake coverage?
  • Interview your IT department or vendor to determine what procedures are in place to protect your computer data.
  • Consult an expert -- there are folks who plan for disasters and who can design a road map for your business to survive.
  • Talk to a real estate professional -- are there sites available that could be rented quickly to keep the business open?
  • Check with your business friends in other parts of town, other cities, or even other states. Could you form an alliance to provide service to your clients from another location?
  • Talk it up -- chat with friends, neighbors, other business people. What emergency provisions have they made? Can you use their ideas to protect your business?

Don't wait for Mother Nature to toss another calamity in your direction. Act now!
