Welcome

Welcome to NET 30's Newsletter

Whether you'd like to add a few more eyes to your blog or you enjoy hearing about community events that make a difference, we have information for everyone this month

We are excited to feature one of our newer clients over at the Virginia Dental Association.  They are very special people that run a very special project called Mission of Mercy (MOM).   MOM is a 1-3 day dental clinic that provides no cost fillings, cleanings, and extractions for those who have "nowhere else to turn."

MOM will return to Wise County in July 2011 for the 12th project in that area. Once again, 1,500 patients will wait their turn in long lines, some through the night in the parking lot, to receive dental care. MOM is not the answer to the access to dental care issue, but it offers "Hope" for those in need that day.

Enjoy our newsletter.

Sunflowers!

NET 30 Client News: Mission of Mercy

 Mission of Mercy!

We are excited to feature one of our newer clients, the Virginia Dental Association. The VDA Foundation runs a very special project called Mission of Mercy, MOM. This is a 1-3 day dental clinic that provides no cost fillings, cleanings, and extractions to those who have "nowhere else to turn". MOM will return to Wise County this July for their 12th project in that area.

"MOM is like none other. Similar to a M.A.S.H. unit, the Mission of Mercy (MOM) dental clinics can be found in a high school gymnasium, a fire station, at a fairground, and even an airport hanger. In fact, the very first MOM was held at the Lonesome Pine Airport atop a mountain in Wise County, VA 12 years ago. You can show the pictures, tell the stories, watch the videos, but until you volunteer at a MOM event there is no way describe the impact it will have on your life and the lives of those you touch..."

In Their Own Words:

"As a nonprofit organization we did not think that our finances could be managed by a company like NET 30. Surely with all the grants and restricted funds and staff sharing it was way more than what they could handle. We were sure we needed to have a part-time bookkeeper on staff and it was with great skepticism that I met with Andrea and Amy to discuss our needs. I quickly realized that our problems were not beyond their ability; in fact Amy's experience working with nonprofits made her the IDEAL person to manage our accounts.."

NET 30 Book Review: How Do You Make Customers Raving Fans

Raving Fans is an interesting book written by Ken Blanchard and Sheldon Bowles in 1993. Even though this book is a bit dated, it conveys an important message that is still true today.

"Your customers are only satisfied because their expectations are so low and because no one else is doing better. Just having satisfied customers isn't good enough anymore. If you really want a booming business, you have to create Raving Fans."

NET 30's Tip of the Month - How to Get More Bang Out of Your Blog Using LinkedIn!    Blogger Tips!

Are you a blogger? Here is some great information about adding your blog to your LinkedIn site. I added our blog by listing the WordPress address on our profile page. It was pointed out that people would have to go and click the link to see the blog. The better way is to have your blog present on your LinkedIn profile page. It is easy to do, just follow these steps:

  • Go to your Profile tab on LinkedIn
  • Select 'Edit Profile' - drop down box
  • Under 'Application' (in the middle of the page to the right) select 'Add an Application'
  • Select the appropriate location of your blog. In my case, I selected 'WordPress Link' because that is where I blog.
  • Follow the rest of the instructions and you will see your blog postings on your LinkedIn Profile Page

We hope you find this helpful!!
